Race headquarters will be at Breaks Interstate Park. Known as the “Grand Canyon of the South” with a five mile gorge plunging to 1650 feet, the Breaks sits on 4600 acres and is located approximately ten miles from the Pine Mountain trail head in Elkhorn City. Race participants will be offered a discount for rooms in the lodges at a rate of $84.95 per night. Cabins and cottages are also available, as well as a campground with 138 sites, including laundry facilities. There is a large dining area in the Rhododendron Restaurant.
